I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member, so those are most always the properties I book. Sometimes, that also coincides with my nerdiness as was the case with the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s and having a love of sci-fi of the time, this hotel showed up in a number of series and movies as a building OF THE FUTURE.

Shows that I remember included:

• Blade Runner
• Darkman
• Alien Nation
• Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
• The Fantastic Journey (Most importantly!)
